Calling all Clarkston Residents!

Small Town - Big Heart
Clarkston is a city and community located just outside 285 at East Ponce de Leon Avenue. Small in size Clarkston spans just over a mile in diameter yet is home to people from over 60 countries speaking hundreds of languages. Clarkson also has many lifetime residents and a history reaching back over 100 years.
Our close proximity to the city of Atlanta, Decatur, Tucker, Avondale Estates, Stone Mountain and Northlake makes our location ideal for both living, business and recreation.
This year we have decided to have a Clarkston city Festival in Milam Park September 25 and 26 and to host a Blues concert featuring nationally known blues artists on Armistead field on September 25th from noon till 9 p.m. We invite you to join us for both days of the festival!
Would 20,000 new potential supporters or customers help your Clarkston business or group?

Get the word out about your business or community group!
Absolutely! The city of Clarkston has more than 200 businesses and we want to showcase the diversity and professionalism of our cities businesses. The 30021 zip code area has nearly 1000. We want to let people know about you! If you have a community groups or non-profit you also want to participate- this is a great opportunity to share your experiences and gain new supporters.
Clarkston business and community groups are highly encouraged to participate in this event. We want people to know about all of the businesses that are here in Clarkston. That is why we’ve created this shop Clarkston business Pavilion and the International Pavilion which will be prominently located at the festival.
These Pavilions will feature tables where local businesses and community groups ( within the city limits) can share information about their culture, language and where businesses can give samples, provide coupons and distribute flyers and to most importantly to connect with festival goers and blues concert lovers from the surrounding metro Atlanta area.

Bringing Clarkston folks together
One of the primary goals of having the Clarkston city blues concert and festival is to have an event where we bring all of the residents of Clarktson together to celebrate the many good things our city has to offer and to share this with people from the surrounding areas. We would like to share the friendliness, cultural diversity and beauty of Clarkston with our neighbors in metro Atlanta.
Give us two days and we’ll show you why Clarkston is Atlanta’s best kept secret!

Do you live near Milam Park?

RR through town
As a Clarkston resident we understand that bringing thousands of people to our city even for two days will be overwhelming to the streets and parking around Milam Park. We are making every effort to encourage concert goers and festival attendees to park at perimeter College and use the free shuttles to get to the park. However we will be limiting access parts of Norman Road on Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26th.
We suggest using alternative routes to get to Church St., Ponce de Leon and downtown Clarkston just for that weekend. We are expecting thousands of people to descend on Milam Park and as you know Norman Road is a two lane road not designed to handle that much traffic. Once again we are encouraging all festival attendees to park it for another college and other parking lots and ride the free shuttle which will be operating all day both days.
We will have the road blocks at Norman &d Rogers St, Norman & Rays Rd and Norman and San Souci Way. This is to discourage festival attendees from parking along Norman Rd and in surrounding neighborhoods.
We appreciate your patience, and look forward to your attendance at the festival.
Live music both days and nights
We will have to music stages going – which means if you live near the part you will probably hear it. Not to worry both of our stages will be silent by 10 PM on Saturday night and 7 PM on Sunday night. The streets most likely affected by the noise will be Belle Glade drive, and Castle Creek Court as well as Poplar drive and East Avenue. Once again we appreciate your patience and cooperation in making this festival a success. We know we couldn’t make it happen without your cooperation and help – thank you!
